Steeped in a delicate atmosphere, ‘Bijou’ shines in contrasts: shadow and light, matt and shiny, warm and cold colours. Exquisite, declined in soft pastel shades and metallic glimmer, the collection is created around two highlights:
— a handmade collage of marbled paper, in tone-on- tone colours with multiple shimmers of gold, silver or copper — an iridescent embossed non-woven sheet with silver glow, subdued by  matt effects.

An ethereal herb design with japanese influences
breathes lightness into the
range, whereas the matching plains have a place of honour as well: oxidized non-woven wallcovering in untamed colours, or motifs of delicate squares enhanced with iridescent stripes, merging  into a hazy plain.

Universe of sand and gold, shades of matt white, silvery grey, mix of blue verdigris, pink copper combined with slate blue and cortinar violet…

As a jewel box of beauty, this cosy collection will take you to a more intimate  place such as a boudoir.

The elegance and preciousness of the products presented in this range inspired the name ‘Bijou’, superb adornment one would like to wear… At last our walls can reflect our exquisite taste and our wish to dress them up.

… An extremely delicate chromatic range:

Sand, lime, chalk, grège, mastic, pearl grey, dune, charcoal, pebble grey, ice blue, silver, rosewood, golden brown, eggplant, jade green…

The collage and metallic embossed non-woven are 91 cm wide. The other printed non-woven wallcoverings are 1 m wide and have the usual technical and ecological qualities  Omexco is famous for: good light resistance and european fire rating (B S1 D0), FSC certified and approved for use on cruise ships, manufactured with recycled fibres and printed thanks to solar energy. All products supplied by the metre.

Omexco, a worldwide trendsetter of high-end wallcoverings, is leading the way as far as environmental care is concerned. Many years ago, Omexco started reducing the environmental impact of its activities and preserving natural resources. Those efforts were recognized and awarded by various international organizations which granted Omexco the following ecological labels and certificates:

Ecological certificate

To live in a healthy house, to work in a healthy office, to sleep in a healthy hotel room is very important to you as well as to us. Omexco contributes to your wellbeing by providing ecological wallcoverings.
The International Association of Wallcovering manufacturers, IGI, has determined very strict standards concerning the presence of hazardous products in wallcoverings (heavy metal, formaldehyde, vinyl chloride). All Omexco wallcoverings meet these standards set by IGI, and can therefore carry the IGI ecological label.

FSC Label

Omexco is proud to have obtained the FSC label (CUCOC-812488). FSC stands for “Forest Stewardship Council” which is a non-governmental and non-profit organization. Its aim is to promote responsible management of the forests on an international level by respecting three strict criteria:

• The protection of the environment by maintaining the biodiversity and the productivity as well as the preservation of ecological process.
• The respect of social rights, as ownership rights for local communities and social and economic wellbeing of workers.
• Financial viability of this management

Forests are important; they provide water, fresh air and fight against climate change. In addition, they provide food, medicine, wood and paper.
Between the forest and the final user, products may undergo many stages of processing, manufacturing and distribution.
FSC certification traces the path of products from forests through the supply chain, verifying that FSC-certified material is identified or kept separated from non-certified material throughout the chain. Any company in this supply chain, including harvesters, processors, manufacturers, distributors, printers, or anyone who is taking ownership of the forest product before the end user, needs to be FSC certified to be able to label or promote the final product as FSC certified.

Use of recycled fibres

Omexco favours suppliers who use recycled fibres. E.g. the polyester fibres of our non-woven wallcoverings are recycled. Thanks to the decrease in CO2 emission and in energy consumption, the impact on the environment is much lower compared to non-recycled fibres.

Printing thanks to solar energy

We all know that it is important to protect our environment.
As a manufacturer, we do our utmost to contribute to the environment, on different levels. At the source, we always opt for raw materials, which don’t contain harmful substances.
Secondly, we reduce our waste as much as possible (a.o. by recycling). Remaining wastage is disposed of in the most ecological way.

After having successfully implemented the above mentioned measures during many years. Omexco has, in 2010, installed 1,242 sqm of photovoltaic solar panels. The electricity generated represents 50% of our annual electric consumption and helps us to save 100.000 kg of CO2 per year.
